New Long Island City Greek Restaurant Planning To Open Next To Roosevelt Island Bridge On Vernon B’lvd and 36th Avenue In Spring – Could An International Restaurant Row Be Developing In Area?

I was walking back from Long Island City a couple of weeks ago and noticed work being done on the long vacant Vernon B’lvd/36th Avenue storefront across from the Roosevelt Island Bridge.

I spoke with the couple doing renovations to the storefront and learned that they plan to open a Greek restaurant in the spring.

It’s not quite a new Roosevelt Island restaurant opening but it’s pretty close.

Could there be a new international restaurant row developing near the Roosevelt Island Bridge? Across the street from the new Greek restaurant is the Melting Pot Caribbean restaurant.

Taking bets on who opens first – the new Greek place or the Trellis.
